"You're Not Alone" Canvas Painting 2017 Foundations
This painting is about my family. The stars represent my parents and my siblings, so basically its my sisters with their family and the two in the middle are my parents. I chose this because family shouldn't be forgotten, our family is always there for us. The colors I picked were black, grey and white. I didn't pick those colors because I was upset I picked them because I would think they would look with the stars and how life isn't always about bright and colorful colors.
"Quiet Is Overrated"
Color Pencil Drawing 2017 Foundations
The drawing you see above is not only about me, but it's about other woman around the world that are too afraid or express how they feel. So us woman express our feeling by maybe wearing make up, could be little or lots of make up. I put "speak" in the middle because it shows that girls have the right to express how they feel could be love or fear. The colors I chose were light pink to dark pink, not only because pink means happiness doesn't mean I wanted it to mean happiness. When I look at the different shades of this pink it makes me feel calm and its a really soothing color. It's not too dark or neither too light, it's just right.
"Seeing is Believing"
Black Point Drawing 2017 Foundations
You're probably asking why there's two glasses and why one of them is all covered. Everybody's point of view is different, we see different things in different angles through our eyes. Basically the one with the city is our eyes, but the covered one is a blind persons eyes. Its a miracle that we get to see, but about the people that can't. We can still help them believe to see not through their eyes, but in their mind. I wanted to keep the drawing plain so I chose to do black and white. It's not that I don't like colors, but I'm just that type of person that likes to keep drawings clean and understandable.
"Violence is Never the Answer" Canvas painting 2017 Foundations
Project four was based on "Artists are Activist" so it's basically based on graffiti and street art. We had to pick a topic which could be: racism, feed the hunger, bullying, etc. I decided to do domestic abuse, a lot of kids suffer of this because the parents are usually going through something. They're either divorced, on drugs, alcoholic or just have really bad anger issues. What I did was a heart with a belt around it, so the belt signifies the parent/ parents and the heart is the child. I also added "Don't hurt me...", "Help!', and bruises so you can have an understanding that something is happening to someone.
